The 15th Volunteer Award Presentation Ceremony of the Social Service Department of The Chinese Rhenish Church HK Synod (Rhenish Church) took place successfully on April 3, 2024. The theme of the event was "Connecting Hearts: Vibrant Rebirth." This theme represents the dedication of our volunteers in connecting with the community and renewing their commitment to love and service.

On that day, 157 volunteers and guests from various service units came together. The chairman of the Social Services Department delivered a speech, expressing deep gratitude and respect to the volunteers present on behalf of the Rhenish Church.

This year, a total of 191 volunteers were recognized for their contributions, including 18 individuals who received the award for the highest number of service hours, each exceeding 3,000 hours. Notably, many elderly volunteers, despite their age, continue to work tirelessly for the community, demonstrating the value of life and the infinite possibilities that come with their dedication.

The ceremony featured guests placing 17 paper airplanes on a "runway," symbolizing encouragement for the volunteers and infusing new energy into their future service journeys. The guests led all volunteers in a solemn pledge: "I sincerely pledge to serve the Social Service Department of Rhenish Church with dedication and effort," reaffirming their commitment to social responsibility and service. Additionally, each volunteer was presented with a 60th-anniversary commemorative blanket, symbolizing how their dedication can warm others and illustrating how countless small actions
